At 18, James Wells started his career working in machine shops simply because his dad “knew a guy that owned one.” Several years later, James is now a highly skilled and important part of the ABACORP team who was promoted to Shop Floor Manager last month.

James started at ABACORP in May of 2016. He spends his days keeping up shop efficiencies and making sure morale is high, in addition to training on set up, validating cycle times and maintaining AS9100 required processes. And he enjoys making the parts – it’s something he’s always liked to do.

Devoted to work and family, he jokingly commented that his only outside hobby is going home to sleep. With a wife and two kids, there isn’t time for much else. But he does listen to KISS FM and occasionally watches NASCAR.
